The Screen Ruler skin is especially useful as a straightedge for alignment at any

You can easily drag the ruler around the screen using the mouse or keyboard. Note that the ruler isn't recommended for small measurements as it becomes unwieldy; for accurate measurements we recommend you keep with a standard Calipers skin.

]]>Version 2.1 of the Data Extractor has a simplified user interface for ease of use. Also included is an option to scan binary files such as images, executables and compressed files so you can dig deep into files that are normally off limits.
New versions of the Screen Calipers,
Screen Protractor and
Screen Compass have been released.
The applications have increased in responsiveness allowing faster and easier measurement with
a high quality user interface and no jerky movements. In addition the occasional
trails that occurred behind the application have been eliminated, giving a crisp
and clean result. The disabled state of the applications have been improved, with faster
activation and the latest versions now have better support for transparency without flickering.
If you're already a customer then your old serial number will continue to work on the new versions, and we're sure that you'll like the update. We've adjusted the versions numbers of all the new applications to version 3.3 to avoid confusion. Please note that version 3.3 is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only, unfortunately the earlier Windows versions do not support the updates, however you can still download the older versions.
Version 4.1 of ColorPic, the free on-screen color picker,
and Version 2.1 of the on-screen Magnifier have been released.
Both applications continue to be free, and the latest version sees improvements in the magnification area.
The new magnification areas are smoother and allow you to see directly underneath the application.

Iconico's Screen Calipers can now be triggered from a desktop widget. If you use Yahoo Widgets, formerly the Konfabulator, then you can download the new Screen Calipers Monitor. It's the quick way to launch the Screen Calipers and keep track of the measurement.

Iconico's Magnifier has been brought up-to-date in the new version 2.0. This effective on-screen magnifier has an improved user interface which hides all options when not in use, allowing for a larger magnification area. The Magnifier's speed has also been improved allowing for a larger magnification area at an increased resolution.
Also included in this release is an image capture function which allows the magnified area to be saved as a bitmap image. Clicking the Capture button will start a ten second countdown so that exact image alignments can be made.
WebTools Pro has been updated to include two new tools for HTML page analysis. The Embedded Objects Report allows you to inspect any <object> tags including any Flash movies that might be present on an HTML page. Full details and a preview of each item are given.
With the new Advanced X-Ray Report the structure of any HTML page will become instantly clearer. Any HTML tag from "A" to "XMP" can be highlighted and the structure analyzed quickly in a choice of colors.
Version 2.0 of the Data Extractor has significant speed improvements that allow you to easily search through hundereds of files, sort your data and remove duplicate entries with ease. Verison 2 also adds the capacity to sereach multiple files and web page URLs for data at the same time.

The HTML Text Extractor, Iconico's
application for easily extracting text from any HTML page has been updated.
Version 1.5 of the HTML Text Extractor now includes a "Pick HTML" button. After
clicking move your mouse over a webpage and hover over any HTML Element. The
partial HTML source for the element that your mouse is over will be displayed,
and the element hilighted in a dotted red border for ease of use.

]]>The Screen Calipers, Iconico's ingenious and accurate on-screen measurement software has reached version 3.2. This latest version allows you to control the Calipers from Microsoft Word and Excel through COM Automation.
On the user interface side two new controls have been added to the many that exist. You can now press 'Z' to undo your last movement, and you can double-click the Calipers to easily flip them between the horizontal and the vertical.
We've added the ability to fully control the
Calipers from any other application including Excel Spreadsheets
and Word Documents. Using Microsoft's
COM Automation you can open the Calipers from your application and
set and get the current measurement and many more properties of the Calipers.

WebTools Pro has been updated to include a CSS style inspector. The Current Style Report allows you to inspect an individual element on any HTML page and instantly see its CSS styles.
There's no easier way to check colors, font information or element margins and padding, just open up the report and move your mouse over the image, text or HTML element that you want to inspect. Below is a screenshot of the Current Style report in-use:
Version 4 of ColorPic, the free on-screen color picker, has been released. The new application still offers you all the features of being able to select any color from the screen and build your own palettes of colors, but now a wealth of powerful color selection tools have been added that have previously only been available only in expensive applications.
The latest version introduces the new 'Mixer' section which gives you four powerful graphical ways to analyze and change your selected color. You can pick the color from a honeycomb of hexagonal shapes, change the color with a rainbow or hue based mixer, or adjust six individual sliders for Hue, Saturation, Value, Red, Green and Blue color components. ColorPic also reports the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black color values as you adjust your color. The ColorPic allows you to snap your chosen color to the nearest websafe value, and all this is displayed in the new easy to use layout.
The ColorPic also sports a magnification area that allows you to get super detailed when picking a color. Version four has major speed improvements and an easier to use magnification slider, and now allows you to select either a point sample or a 3x3 or 5x5 average color from any place on your screen.
Iconico.com is still happy to provide the ColorPic as totally free software with no catches, even though our color picker's features now surpass most of our competitor's commercial applications. The
Screen Protractor, Iconico's super-accurate onscreen angle measuring tool has a new downloadable
skin. The teardrop skin sports a cool blue user interface and has a precise central crosshair that makes
aligning the Protractor over engineering diagrams or photos simple. The small blue handles can be moved with the mouse to align the protractor to
any angle, giving an accurate and detailed readout of whatever you want to measure on the screen.
WebTools Pro has been updated to include a first-of-it's-kind HTML spell checker. The Spell Checker allows you to check your HTML from within Internet Explorer and change any incorrect words using a simple dropdown menu.
Also included in this release is a new report which lists the Response Headers, allowing you to view additional information that is sent to your browser that is normally hidden.
We've updated the user interface, adding a new blue fade, and the startup time of the application has been decreased making it quicker to get going. You'll also notice informative messages in the status bar, letting you know what the application is doing, and better error trapping.

The online CSS Scrollbar Color Changer for changing the scrollbars on your HTML pages has been updated yet again. The "Scrollbar Base Color" attribute, which was missing from earlier versions, has been added to complete the range of styles. The Color Changer now remembers your styles between browser sessions so when you return your scrollbars will still be there. You can also add and delete as many styles as you wish.
